BONUS MONEY PROGRAM ANNOUNCED FOR TWO FOR TK TWIN 9 FIGURE EIGHT FEATURES AT RIVERHEAD RACEWAY SATURDAY

One of the most beloved and iconic personalities of Riverhead Raceway & Figure Eight racing will be celebrated Saturday when the annual Two for TK Twin 9 Figure Eight features are presented as part of Advance Auto Parts Night at the Races program. The twin features are run in memory of "TK' Tommy Kraft who spent his adult life competing in and promoting Figure Eight racing on Long Island. Tommy passed away in late July of 2023.
Erin Delaney, who on behalf of the Kraft family and in conjunction with Riverhead Raceway revealed the bonus program for the Twin 9's. "I've been able to complete three sets of lap money for each feature and in the process of completing a fourth" Delaney disclosed, "the first set of lap money will be broken down $10 to the leader of each lap and then $6 for second and $4 for third". As to the second, third and fourth sets of lap money Erin furthered, "that money will be added to the purse and awarded through the field".
Monday morning Erin announced that TK Tommy Kraft's son, Freddie Kraft, NASCAR Cup and Xfinity spotter as well host of the popular podcast Door Bumper Clear will kick in $1,000 to the race purse, $100 each for the top five with the stipulation of nine or more cars starting the race.
Additionally, Erin introduced the 2025 Two of TK Twin 9 race bonus sponsors. The Pedersen family of CheckerWon Motorsports will sponsor a $50 Race Winner bonus for each feature with Allan Pedersen hoping to sweep the twins. Former racer David White who recently relocated to Long Island has posted a 5th Place Finisher $50 bonus for each race. Timmy Solomito of Natural Design Co. has announced a $100 Most Laps Led Award while Dennis Freese of Oval Speed Unlimited adds $100 for the Fastest Lap of the Race. Veteran race enthusiast Larry Murdock has posted a $50 Best Appearing Car Award, while Joe Riley kicks in $50 for Closest Call at the X, split $25 to the two drivers pulling that fete off.
Complementing the Advance Auto Parts Night at the Races program and the Two of TK Twin 9's are the NASCAR Modifieds, Eagle Chevrolet Crate Modifieds, Blunderbusts, INEX Legend Race Cars and another popular Truck Enduro. Opening ceremonies are planned for 6:15 PM proceeded by qualifying. General admission gates open at 4:00 PM, adults are $30, kids 6-12 $20, 5 & under free.
Saturday's racing is just half of the fun as on Sunday afternoon the rained-out June 7th program will utilize the July 27th rain date. It will be a quick turnaround for the NASCAR Modifieds, Eagle Chevrolet Crate Modifieds, Blunderbusts and INEX Legend Race Cars who all see action less than 24-hours prior. Joining the matinee are the INEX Bandolero racers and a 4/6-Cylinder Gut & Go Enduro. General admission for Sunday mirrors Saturday, $30 for adults, $20 for kids 6-12, 5 & under free, opening ceremonies will take place 2:00 pm and be proceeded by qualifying.
