BALDWIN, EVANS & JARZOMBEK 77 & CROMARTY WALL OF CHAMPIONS INDUCTIONS CELEBRATE RIVERHEAD RACEWAY ICONS SATURDAY

Over the 75-years of racing at Riverhead Raceway many iconic drivers have passed through the gates, visiting victory lane and winning championships at the demanding quarter mile bullring. Saturday evening track owners Connie Partridge & Tom Gatz will honor the memory of three popular NASCAR Modified legends as they present the annual Baldwin, Evans & Jarzombek 77 on a night where they will induct Tom Baldwin Sr., Tom Baldwin Jr., Tom Ryan and Long John Silver onto the Cromarty Wall of Champions.
The Cromarty Wall of Champion inductions will take place during the opening ceremony portion of the program with the Baldwin's making history as the first father & son to be enshrined together something that gives Tom Jr. great pleasure, "it gives me an opportunity to do one more thing with my father" the Daytona 500 winning crew chief shared. From the mid 80's into the 90's many consider those years to be the modern day golden era of Figure Eight racing at Riverhead Raceway, Tom Ryan was in the thick of those battles winning 15-times against the likes of George Brown, Tom Kraft, Joe Biondolillo Jr. and Roger Maynor. Ryan will take his place on the Cromarty Wall of Champions Saturday as will one of the most entertaining personalities at Riverhead Raceway through the years, Long John Silver. Perhaps no driver to emerge from the rough and tumble Demolition Derby and Car Rollover Contests was as popular with the fans as Long John, who indeed played to the crowd as the ultimate showman. Saturday the two-time World Demolition Derby and three time track Rollover champion will be inducted onto the Wall of Champions.
Heading to Saturday's annual Baldwin, Evans & Jarzombek 77 the chase for the 2025 NASCAR Modified title enters the homestretch with a familiar player sitting atop the rankings, John Beatty Jr. of Merrick, the two-time & defending champion. Beatty enjoys a 46-point margin over Chase Grennan of Glen Cove and is up 56-markers on most recent winner Chris Young of Calverton. The Baldwin, Evans & Jarzombek 77 is the third installment of the 2025 Crown Jewel Series for the Ted Christopher Cup and with Chase Grennan winning both the Flying Dutchman Tribute 75 and the Bubba 150, the college freshman leads those standings entering Saturday. Timmy Solomito of Islip is the defending race winner of the Baldwin, Evans & Jarzombek 77, chased to the checker flag last year by eventual 2024 Crown Jewel Series champion Chris Rogers of Patchogue.
Rounding out the special night of Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series racing are the TK Figure Eights, Super Pro Trucks, Street Stocks and the Edie Partridge Vintage All Stars.
Opening ceremonies are set for approximately 6:15 PM and proceeded by qualifying. General admission windows open at 4:00 PM, adults $30, kids 6-12 $20, 5 & under free.
