SCHOOL BUS FIGURE EIGHT RACE, EDDIE PARTRIDGE VINTAGE ALL STARS MAKE FIRST 2026 RIVERHEAD RACEWAY APPEARANCE SATURDAY

After weather interrupted racing at Riverhead Raceway for a week, the action returns to the historic quarter mile oval in a big way Saturday with seven divisions in action. Headlining the program are the Buzz Chew Chevrolet NASCAR Modifieds with their 50-lap feature event with the Eddie Partridge Vintage All Stars making their first start of 2026. The night will come to a wild, exciting conclusion with the season's first School Bus Figure Eight race.
Complementing the Buzz Chew Chevrolet Modifieds for the second NASCAR Local Racing Series powered by O'Reilly Auto Parts race program of 2026 are the Street Stocks, Mini Stocks, INEX Legend Race Cars and a Truck Enduro, all making their second start of the new season. Opening night Modified winner Timmy Solomito of Islip noted in his victory lane remarks a limited schedule for the track where he's won 28-times, leaving Saturday's field wide open. Later in the month Howe, a five-time Riverhead Raceway champion will be recognized with the running of the Miller Lite Salutes Don Howe 200 for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Saturday May 30th.
After the winners on the stock car side have been determined, the 13-ton, full size School Buses will roll to the tight confines of the Figure Eight course. A 15-lap main event, where anything can, and usually does happen will unfold in what can only be described as motorized mayhem.
