RAT PACK RACING TAPS RICHIE DAVIDOWITZ AS DRIVER TO CHASE 2025 RIVERHEAD RACEWAY CRATE MODIFIED CHAMPIONSHIP

When the Eagle Chevrolet Crate Modifieds take to Riverhead Raceway for the May 3rd Pack the Track opening night 25-lap feature, there will be a new combination lined-up to chase the 2025 championship. Recently, Steve Ratti of Rat Pack Racing disclosed former Riverhead Crate Modified champion Richie Davidowitz of East Moriches as the team's new driver. Davidowitz was the last driver not named Grennan to win the RCM crown in 2021.
"Bring on 2025", an exited Richie Davidowitz proclaimed when the pairing was disclosed. "I'm really looking forward to being back in the Eagle Chevrolet Crate Modifieds of Riverhead Raceway working with a great team, have lots of fun, laughs and many checker flags along the way" After Richie scored his 2021 title, the championship has taken up residence in Glen Cove with Owen Grennan winning the 2022 & 2023 titles, while younger brother Chase the most recent champ in 2024. Davidowitz has visited RCM victory lane five times in his career tying him Vinny Delaney and Chris Rogers for 8th all-time.
The driver known as "Big Money", whose nickname was bestowed upon him by Freddie Kraft during his INEX Legend Race Car exploits where Davidowitz ranks atop the all-time win list with 29 wins complimenting his 2019 and 2023 championships. For 2025 Richie revealed his INEX Legend Race Cars plans of that of a part time effort, "We just dropped my chassis off to 2024 champion Riely O'Keefe, he's going to fix her up for us. My Dad, (Wally), is just too busy to do the repair, but we did pick-up a new Mt09 engine and once the car is done maybe run five races or so".
Ironically, the driver ranked second in all time INEX Legend victories with 25, Kyle Ellwood of Riverhead is the driver Davidowitz replaces at Rat Pack Racing. Kyle will be focusing on the 2025 NASCAR Modified championship with car owner Eric Lutz.

Ratti, the 2006 Charger champion at Riverhead Raceway disclosed his longtime sponsor Jimmy Becht, who was with Ratti for the championship run is back with the team for 2025. Joining the Eagle Chevrolet Crate Modifieds Saturday May 3rd at the Pack the Track opener are the NASCAR Modifieds, Late Models, Figure Eights, Blunderbusts, Super Pro Trucks and INEX Legend Race Cars. Spectator gates open at 4:00 pm, opening ceremonies are planned for 6:00 pm. Adults are $30, kids 6-12 $15, 5 & under free.
This Saturday April 19th and again the following week April 26th the track hosts two test & tune practice days featuring free grandstand admission. Cars hit the track at 11:00 am both days, spectator gates open as well at 1:00 am. Normal pit fees are in effect for race teams, $45 with a NASCAR license, $65 for non-licensed individuals.
