SCOUT NIGHT SET FOR RIVERHEAD RACEWAY SATURDAY NIGHT, SCOUTS IN UNIFORM ADMITTED FREE

Round two of the 2026 NASCAR Local Racing Series powered by O'Reilly Auto Parts will unfold Saturday night at Riverhead Raceway on Scout Night. All scouts in uniform receive free admission for a race card that features nine feature events headlined by the tour type Buzz Chew Chevrolet NASCAR Modifieds for a 50-lap main event. The first Kid's Big Wheel race will be presented.
For decades Scout Night program was very popular at all three Long Island ovals with Riverhead Raceway owners Connie Partridge and Tom Gatz continuing the tradition Saturday evening. Boy, girl, cub and brownie scouts in uniform receive free admission at the general admission gates. Riverhead management has also expanded the offer to the local 4-C clubs and Junior ROTC programs offered at local schools in uniform also receiving free admission Saturday. The Scout Night offer is available at general admission only; normal pit fees will apply for all.
Opening ceremonies are planned for 6:30 PM, at that time all troops or organizations are welcome track side with their groups to be part of the festivities. After those ceremonies the Kid's Big Wheel race will be contested. The racers line track provided Big Wheel up across the track in turn four and the race to the start/finish line is on. The winners of the boys and girls divisions get to keep their Big Wheel as a memento.
Complementing the 50-lap NASCAR Modified event are the Late Modes and Eagle Chevrolet Crate Modifieds. both going to post in 25-lap affairs, while the TK Figure Eights are slated for a 15-lap main event. With plenty of youth watching on during Scout Night, the stars of tomorrow in the INEX Bandolero divisions will be in action Saturday. The Bandit and Outlaw divisions run separate 15-lap features, while the Beginners get after it for 10-laps. Coincidentally many of those among the Bandolero ranks could also be active in scouting. The night will come to a wild finish as the 8-Cylinder Enduro stars battle in a 40-lap main event.
Spectator gates open at 5:00 PM, adults are $30, kids 6-12 $20, 5 & under free. Opening ceremonies will commence at 6:30 PM and are proceeded by qualifying.
