ALLAN PEDERSEN SWEEPS TWO FOR TK TWIN 9 FIGURE EIGHT EVENTS, VINNY DELANEY TOPS CRATE MODS FRIDAY NIGHT AT RIVERHEAD RACEWAY

After being rained out earlier in the summer, the Two for TK Twin 9's for the Figure Eights were finally contested Friday evening at Riverhead Raceway with Allan Pedersen of Center Moriches sweeping both races. The first win came in an unconventional manner, while the second came in the more traditional form. Also taking wins during the program that was added in July due to all the wet weather were, Vinny Delaney of Islip Terrace in the Eagle Chevrolet Crate Modifieds, while Greg Harris of Riverhead topped the Dwayne Sipila Memorial 66 for the 8-Cylinder Enduros.

In the first Two for TK Twin 9 it appeared when the checker flag flew Ryan Warren of Ridge had held off Allan Pedersen of Center Moriches for a very emotional win. Ryan was the last driver TK Tom Kraft mentored in the rough and tumble Figure Eight game before Tom's passing in 2023 and despite having two career wins since then, winning a TK Twin 9 was all Ryan wanted to do. Unfortunately, during the race, the muffler fell off of Warren's Advanced Wastewater entry, and after arriving in post-race tech, track officials had the unenviable task of disqualifying Ryan for the lost muffler. 

Allan Pedersen who chased Warren to the checker after a torrid battle with his uncle Scott Pedersen of Shirley, the defending and five-time TK Figure Eight champion was declared the race winner post-race in his United Exhaust Shop Camaro. Scott Pedersen was runner-up in the Viking Drilling & Testing Chevy while Will Farrell of Mastic completed the podium with the Bobby's One Stop Custom Exhaust & Automotive coupe. 

For the second Two for TK Twin 9 feature, it was all Allan Pedersen who took the lead at the throw of the green with his Elite Towing Chevy and led all the way for his 3rd win of 2026 in dominating fashion. The two wins are 13th & 14th of Allan's career moving the soft-spoken talent to 14th on the all-time win list. Once again Uncle Scott Pedersen, making his first starts of 2026 was runner-up, with Will "The Thrill" Farrell third. 

The Eagle Chevrolet Crate Modifieds produced a caution free 25-lap feature event with Vinny Delaney of Islip Terrace scoring his first win of the rain-soaked season. Delaney started from the pole and quickly moved to the race lead at the start chased over the first two laps by rookie talent Thomas Grattan. Racing off the fourth corner to start the third lap of the tilt, Richie Davidowitz passed Grattan for second to the inside. Delaney and Davidowitz settled into their positions with the challenger keeping himself within striking distance. Then with just five laps to go Davidowitz, the all-time leading Legend Race Car winner at the track turned up the heat on leader Delaney who also came to the Crate Mods via the Legends. Over the final five laps Davidowitz glued himself to Delkaney's rear spoiler but in the end, it was the Stakey's Pumpkin Farm Chevy of Vinny Delaney crossing the stripe first. for his 7th career victory. Richie Davidowitz of East Moriches was runner-up in the Rosemar Industries Chevy, AJ DeSantis of Yaphank completed the podium with a third with his Tiana Shores Lawn & Tree Service entry. 

Aria Ligon of Center Moriches scored her first INEX Bandolero Outlaw victory of 2026 when she topped their 15-lap feature. Mason Dickerson, the 2025 Beginner champion showed well of himself early leading the first three circuits of the race from the pole. During a third lap restart Aria Ligon who stared in the front row alongside Dickerson was able to sneak under Mason in the third and fourth turn to take the lead as the field started the fourth lap. Once Aria moved out front, she would lead the rest of the way for her 4th career win in the Chesterfield Associates Outlaw. Michael Barry of Patchogue survived a wild four car battle for second to claim the position at the checker in his Grease Garage Motorsports entry. Most recent winner John Alaimo of Miller Place was third in the Turf King Outlaw. 

For the third INEX Bandolero Bandit race in a row, Mason Goodale of Riverhead found his way to victory lane at the conclusion of 15-laps. The win was a milestone 10th of the second-generation driver's career, but more importantly ties him with Ben Morabito of Miller Place for the all-time lead in overall INEX Bandolero wins at Riverhead Raceway. Wyatt Goodale paced the race over the first two laps from the pole with his older brother Mason filling his mirror. On lap 3 Mason worked his way by Wyatt for the lead, bringing Mackenzie Ulmet to second with him. Ulmet glued herself to Mason's rear bumper hoping to find a way by for the lead and her first win of 2026. However, in the end it would be Mason Goodale in the GAF Roofing Bandit taking home the win, Mackenize Ulmet of Mattituck would have to be content with second in the Vigilant Security & Investigations machine. The podium was rounded out by Wyatt Goodale of Riverhead with his Riverhead Building Supply Bandit.

In the 10-lap INEX Bandolero feature James White III of Southampton dominated the race lapping all but the second and third place cars for his first career Riverhead Raceway victory. Wheeling the Blazing Bee Pest Control entry, White truly exterminated the field after taking the lead at the throw of the green. Second generation driver Silas Hayes of Calverton made a stellar debut with a second-place tally in the North Fork Sanitation machine, Scarlett Dumicich of East Quogue was third with her Rapid Recovery entry.

In the 66-lap Dewayne Sipila Memorial for the 8-Cylinder Enduro competitors, Greg Harris of Riverhead took home his first win of the 2026 campaign. The race run in memory of Dwayne Sipila, a throwback competitor to the mid 80's and 110 car Enduros of Riverhead Raceway, Dwayne recently attempted a comeback before falling ill and sadly passing away. Justin Squires ked the first five laps before being overtaken by Joe Boccia on lap 6. Boccia led until lap 13 when Richie Carman came along and raced by for the top spot. Carman would lead until the 23rd lap when he encountered lapped traffic allowing Greg Harris, who started deep in the 30-car field to sneak by for the lead. Once Greg had his SGS Stone Works Monte Carlo out front he kept it there for the remaining 43-laps of the very special race. Richie Carman of Port Jefferson was second in the united Exhaust Shops Chevy, Woot Lawrence of Southampton was third in the Gregor Well Drilling Camaro. 

Late race drama unfolded in the 40-lap 4/6-Cylinder Enduro with Chris Olivari of Coram taking the lead on the white flag lap to score his second win of the season after Mike Mujsce Jr. of Hampton Bays encountered late race mechanical woes. Defending champion John Palmeri broke to the race lead at the throw of the green leading David Olivari over the first ten circuits before Mike Mujsce Jr. came from deep in the field to grab second from the elder Olivari. After hunting Palmeri down for three laps, Mujsce powered out front on lap 15, bring Chris Oilvari to second with him. The lead duo danced through traffic with Mujsce appearing to be in route to his fourth win of the year. However, with two laps to go Mike's car started leaning over on the right front allowing Olivari to close in. As the tandem raced through the third and fourth turn, Mike's car shot up the track and Olivari dipped under him to score the dramatic win with his Middle Country Automotive backed racer. Newlywed Mike Mujsce Jr. of Hampton bays held on for second with his self-funded machine, early leader John Palmeri of Lindenhurst was third with the J&J Towing machine.
